Tessa Thompson

Tessa Lynn Thompson, an actor and songwriter who hails who hails from Los Angeles was born in 1983. The actress is the daughter the singer and songwriter Marc Anthony Thompson and the granddaughter of actor-musician Bobby Ramos. Her birthplace was in Los Angeles and raised there prior to moving to Brooklyn. Her mother comes from Mexican and British Isles family heritage, whereas her father is an Afro-Panamanian. Thompson was a student at Santa Monica High School where she took part in a variety of theatre productions. Following graduation, she was enrolled in Santa Monica College, where she earned a master's degree in cultural Anthropology. A Pasadena-based theater company performed her in a production. Boston Court Theatre, she appeared as Juliet in William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". Her nomination was for the NAACP Theatre Award in the same year. Tessa made her debut on TV in 2005.
