Lesley's first major acting gig was with the New Zealand TV drama Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt made a guest appearance in New Zealand's TV show Shortland Street as a support actor. Her next appearance was in This Is Not My Life. The show is based on the actual tale of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast as Naevia the young hostage and depicted later on in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniature series in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
