Her older sister is Jennifer who is an advertising executive. She attended Menlo-Atherton High School in Atherton California and completed her studies at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley California in 1985. Additionally, she performed for the Ensemble Theater Company Mill Valley in her senior years.
