Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise is a popular American writer, singer, and actress, best known for her role as Ginger Grant in the 1960s television series Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began as a stage artist during the 1950s beginning at the age of Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Following that, she performed on Broadway for a number of productions until 1957 in which Li'l abner was large in the National Theatre. That same year, she recorded her first album of songs, called It's the Right Time to Tina. Her first appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda in God's Little Acre, which was a 1958 romantic drama. The film garnered wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. In the years prior to this, she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. In 1964, she was offered the role of her life when CBS contracted her to play Ginger Grant. Louise performed a superb performance juggling Broadway and Hollywood. She was portrayed as a dark, contrasting characters to the glamorous doll she was seen as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and in the role of Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she has also made her name as a successful director in numerous well-known TV shows such as Supernatural or The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 28, August 1965 her family emigrated to Toronto in the age group of three. Her childhood was spent there, and later her teenage years. When she was selected in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has remained in the city ever since.
